Dr. Yolanda L. Spooney is the Founder and Principal of PHDIVA CPA Accounting Services, an established firm now expanding from the Cleveland, Ohio metropolitan area to Suffolk, Virginia.
With more than two decades of experience in accounting, taxation, and financial advisory, Dr. Spooney has built a reputation for delivering strategic, ethical, and compliance-focused financial services to small businesses, nonprofits, and faith-based organizations.
Born in Los Angeles and raised in Compton, California, Dr. Spooney’s journey reflects discipline, service, and excellence. After high school, she proudly served in the U.S. Army before pursuing an extensive academic career in accounting and business.

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting – Cleveland State
• Master of Science in Management – Hampton University
• Master of Accountancy (Taxation) – University of North Florida
• PhD in Business (Accounting) – Capella University
She obtained her CPA license in Florida in 1998 and has since been licensed in Ohio (2000) and Virginia (2019).
